Hallelujah and Hell Yeah!

Bob Birch, whom we love dearly has become extremely busy in the very in-demand band the Magnificent Board of Directors and in December of 2009, Bob took his leave of the Profane Saints due to a busy performance schedule and little possibility of live performances with the Profane Saints throughout 2010. Bob is one of, if not THE best player we've ever performed with and he will be sorely missed. Blessings "Be-Bob" Thank you so much for your contribution to the band and "Dirt Town City Limits"

Enter 2010 and a new era in the Profane Saints with the addition of our friend Bill Harstad- an accomplished bass player in Siouxland and a welcome addition to the band. We'll be rehearsing and working very hard incorporating Bill into the group and will return to the stage as a band on April 24, 2010. Until then- catch Mat performing solo at a slew of regional gigs and stay tuned. More good things to come.

Very productive night in the studio. Kurt and I have eleven songs for the new solo album. Very diverse. Many of you will be surprised on how old timey yet very modern this animal is gonna sound. Tonight we finished banjo tracks on "Ford Marriage" laid down new guitar and vocal tracks for some brand new material titled "Three AM" a rootsy sounding "Ribbon of Dirt" and the folk song "Joe and Beam"- three very different songs in their own right but very cool outcomes so far. Kurt will be laying down fretless bass and guitar in the next few weeks. If progress remains this strong- we'll have this one out in no time.
